Many housewives who have never encountered this berry are wondering how to sugar strawberries in order to maximize the benefit, taste and aroma of the berry.

There are several ways to prepare wild strawberries with sugar.

First of all, you need to prepare strawberries. The berries are peeled from the stalks, sorted out, removing rotted fruits. Strawberries are transferred to a sieve and washed under running water. Then the berries are laid out in a thin layer on a linen towel so that they dry slightly. By the way, you can not throw out the leaves, but dry them, and make tea from them in winter.

Strawberries are laid in a deep cup, covered with sugar and left for a while to let the juice flow. Then the strawberries are mashed using a pusher or a blender.

Ingredients

  • kilogram of granulated sugar;

  • 1 kg of wild strawberries.

Cooking method

1. First, you need to sort out the strawberries. Remove leaflets and other forest debris. If you picked strawberries yourself, you can not wash it. If the strawberries are purchased, rinse it under the tap and dry on a linen towel. Put the berries in a wide enameled basin.

2. Cut a peduncle with a sharp knife from each berry. Put the berries in a blender bowl and beat at high speed until a puree mass.

3. Now take a clean, fine sieve and put strawberry puree in a tablespoon of it. Rub the whole mass through it into a deep clean cup.

4. Pour distilled water into the saucepan and put it on fire. Pour in sugar and bring to a boil. Then twist the fire and cook the syrup, stirring vigorously with a spoon, for 20 minutes. Remove the finished syrup from the heat and cool it to a warm state.

5. Pour a slightly warm sugar syrup into a container with strawberry puree and mix with a wooden spatula. Pour concentrated lemon juice into the resulting mass using a measuring spoon. Stir and put on fire. Bring to a boil, remove from heat and cool.

6. Spread the grated strawberries with sugar in sterile, dry jars and close tightly with lids. Store in a cool place.

Ingredients

1. Sort freshly picked strawberries, removing small debris and spoiled berries. Put the berries in a colander and rinse under a stream of cold water. Lay the strawberries on a flaxen towel and pat dry so that the mash does not become too thin from excess moisture.

2. Crush the berries to a puree condition of any way convenient for you. This can be done with a small hole pusher or a hand blender.

3. Gradually pour sugar into the grated strawberries, constantly stirring, and leave the mass to infuse for an hour.

4. During this time, prepare the jars. Rinse glass containers well with soda or detergent, rinse and dry. Place the cans in the oven and sterilize for five minutes. Boil the lids for a couple of minutes.
