According to the Ministry of Health, two-thirds of doctors in Russia (62%) are smokers, thereby setting a bad example for patients. In Europe, the number of smokers is 2-3%.

Tatyana Yakovleva, Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, regrets that, despite the active fight against smoking, employees of Russian medical institutions still smoke. And this despite the fact that more than 70% of the country's population trust doctors. Moreover, doctors are considered a role model.

The deputy minister notes that health workers do not always provide assistance to patients in the fight against this bad habit. Thus, an analysis of ambulatory cards showed that in only one case out of ten doctors only noted the presence or absence of a patient’s habit. Recommendations on how to quit smoking were given only in one out of three cases.

Starting June 1, the new law comes into force and smoking in hospitals, government agencies, schools, universities, restaurants, stadiums, trains, the subway and train stations will be banned.

Later, sanatoriums, long-distance trains, long-distance vessels, aircraft, city and suburban transport, entrances to stations, airports or metro (less than 15 meters), platforms, catering facilities, hotels will become a non-smoking zone.

Tobacco companies will not be able to sponsor festivals and hold lotteries. Cigarettes will disappear from store windows, there will be only a price list.

Premiums for non-smokers, and fines for smokers - as in the west. A modern person understands everything only through a wallet. And the same measures are taken by teachers and kindergarten teachers — an example is murderous! Something can be put into the child’s head up to 7-10 years old - then there’s already a herd feeling- “everyone smokes and I will
